Spiritual Growth

Spiritual growth is one of the most important aspects of the christian faith. Becoming a Born-Again Christian is just the beginging. Once you've made the decision to stop fighting, struggling, and denying yourself from God, you will begin to experience a peace, a peace that as God states, "surpasses all understanding." (Philippians 4:7)

So, now that we've accepted our new lives, how do we grow as christians? Well like anything being developed, there are phases. As a human being our growth consists of phases. Each phase consists of activities, trials, tests and experiences in which God performs the review. Once we've learned, developed and applied our experiences, God will reveal to us a new level of life and faith. For God himself states, "Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation." (Peter 2:2)

The Christian walk is a way of life, an ongoing process. Once we surrender our old life for a new life, it is then our responsibility to proactively seek God in order to grow. What this means is that as our lives progress we have the option to either live flat common lives with little revelation and minor impact to the world or strive for perfection through Jesus Christ and face the trials of life.

So what does spritual growth mean to a Christian. It serves as our continuing, defining moments of life in which we face life head through the power of God, unlike those who do not believe. This means that although we experience the same trails and challenges everyone else encounters in life, we as christians repond differently. We respond to life based on how God instructs and teachs us on how to live. For God statess, "I will instruct you and teach you in the way in which you should go." (Psalm 32:8)

Spritual Growth for a christian is in a nutshell, the process of continually seeking God's will, listening to his Word, ministering to the world and most of all excerising greater levels of faith.
